The Embassy of Belgium in Islamabad offers you the opportunity to register online in the consular population registers.
You can access this website (eConsul) if you:
- are Belgian;
- are 18 or older;
- are not (or no longer) registered in a Belgian municipality;
- have a valid and activated Belgian electronic identity card;
- know your PIN code and have a card reader.
If you live in Pakistan (or in Afghanistan) and wish to receive full access to consular services, you should register at the embassy.
If you have moved to Pakistan (or Afghanistan) from Belgium, ensure that you have de-registered from your previous commune in Belgium before sending us your registration documents. Please contact your previous commune for more information on how to do this.
In order to be registered in the population registers, three conditions must be met:
- Be Belgian;
- Not being registered in the population registers of a Belgian commune;
- Have habitual residence in the consular jurisdiction of the professional consulate.
Minors must meet a fourth condition: they must be registered in the same registers as where one of the parents or legal guardians is registered.
In case you cannot or do not want to access eConsul for the consular registration (see above), you can still register at the embassy by sending the documents requested below to islamabad@diplobel.fed.be. We will then analyse the documents and respond to you via email.
